About

about

Vantine Interior Design is a Full Service Design Firm. Linda Wendt Vantine, ASID, will walk-through the potential site with feedback on the suitability of the space and possible reuse of existing finishes and furniture. In the Design Development Phase, the design concept will be realized through selections of finish colors and materials, furniture, artwork and accessories. In the final stage, Construction Drawings and Price Estimates are created to control quality and cost. In Construction Services, visits to the site during construction can resolve contractor questions, and avoid extra costs and misunderstandings. In post occupancy, follow up meetings can be scheduled to identify any problems, address any new developments, and offer workable solutions.

Warm textures compliment a coastal theme in this Family Room. Comfort down sofas with performance fabrics in a pewter color accompany chairs with custom upholstered cushions and pillows. An oak and beech square coffee table sits atop a custom wool rug. Cheerful, geometric pillows add aquatic greens and icy blues to the room, bringing out the colors from an oil-painted seascape above the fireplace. Woven woods shades are pulled to bring natural light into the space while aged iron floor lamps with linen shades bring warm light at nightfall.

This Master bedroom speaks sanctuary with its' soft hues and dream like use of pattern and texture. Shams and pillows in linens and velvety pearly whites compliment the custom duvet cover, while sheer dot roman shades and the chenille upholstered bench as the base of  the bed help finish the room. The twin wool rugs add softness underfoot with playful, yet sophisticated tones.

Porcelain tile floors welcome guests into this spa-like Master Bath. Soft patterned Roman Shades soften the windows, and a tumbled marbled tile backsplash frames the countertop. Driftwood grey cabinets hold towels and bathroom essentials, and brushed nickel lighting and hardware illuminate and complement the color palette . The spacious Master Shower is accented with a niche and wraparound tumbled tile, and brushed nickel towel hooks and shower head add a polished look to this daily escape.

Start and end the day in this porcelain tiled mudroom. Clean and cheerful, the custom bench and millwork panels provide interest, and the floor selection and patterned performance fabric bench cushion stand up to the utilitarian nature of the space.  Granite countertops, farmers sink and beadboard cabinets become a perfect area for pruning and potting plants, and woven shades add a natural tone to the room.

Swivel stools with rush seats are nestled nicely into this Kitchen island. Taj Mahal quartzite countertops add a complementary texture to the beaded, coffered ceiling. Custom kitchen cabinets shine brightly against the metallic beige silver finish pendants, and the soft mosaic tile back splash in the kitchen's bar area is just one of the thoughtful, custom touches within the design.

Old and the new pieces combine into this charming design unique to the client. In the sunny living room, the client's existing chair, oriental rug, table and floor lamps add familiarity but are given a refreshed look by adding a new sofa, coffee table and custom drapes. The custom oyster painting combines the colors of the room to create a cohesive feeling with interest and depth.

The custom old oak wood table in the dining room invites gatherings with family and friends, and the slate-colored cottage chairs are fitted with custom-shaped seat cushions with woven fabric and trim. The colorfully striped wool rug adds comfort to the space,
& custom pleated drapes provide nighttime privacy.

Inviting defines this cheery Breakfast Nook, where a family owned oriental rug is layered over a custom wool rug defining the space and bringing attention to a refinished gate leg table.
